The size of the photo is not important. The Ratio is!.You can resize the image but if your face is appearing to wide or narrow in the final makeover then you should be adding canvas to your picture.(i.e. enlarging the borders). If your face is appearing too small in the picture then you should be cropping the image so that the face takes up more of the whole image.
Face too large

Decrease the size with the controls but make sure you decrease the height and width by the same proportion or alter your picture in an art package.
In this picture the face is too large in proportion to the whole picture.
To make the face smaller we increase the canvas size making the face smaller in proportion.
Correct Size

The height of the face is half of the height of the full picture and the width of the face is half the width of the full picture
Face too small

Increase the size with the controls but make sure you increase the height and width by the same proportion or alter your picture in an art package.
In this picture the face is too small in proportion to the rest of the picture so we crop the image.(Dotted line)

Canvas Size. The canvas size is the total area of the the whole picture. To change this DO NOT resize the picture. This would not change the ratio of the face to the canvas. It would only enlarge the picture and when the picture was automatically resized you would end up with exactly the same looking picture. If your art package does not have canvas size then......

1. Copy the image you are going to use (usually press 'ctrl' & 'C' together)
2. Measure the current dimensions (pixels i.e. 150 x 100) (usually 'View image information')
3. Start a new picture with larger dimensions (i.e. 200 x 150)
4. Paste the old image onto the larger canvas.(Usually press 'ctrl' & 'V' together but if there are more than one type of paste then 'paste as new selection')
5. Save the new image and test it.

Crop. Cropping the image. Cropping the image is not resizing it. It is removing the area around the part that you wish to remain. If your art package does not have crop.....

1. Copy the image you are going to use (usually press 'ctrl' & 'C' together)
2. Measure the current dimensions (pixels i.e. 150 x 100)(usually 'View image information')
3. Start a new picture with smaller dimensions (i.e. 100 x 75)
4. Paste the old image onto the smaller canvas. Note it will overhang so you will have to move it until your face is central.(Usually press 'ctrl' & 'V' together but if there are more than one type of paste then 'paste as new selection')
5. Save the new image and test it.

Resize the image. On the wig selection page at the top you will see this box:

Change image size here:
Height =
Width=

If your image is too wide then decrease its width here (Tip do it gradually using the browser back button to test each change).The same applies for the height.
