The styling plates are one of the most important parts of any styling iron. Although the Solarzz Saturn and Venus are very different in design, they share the same fundamental technology when it comes to the styling plates:
• Solid ceramic heaters
Although the advanced microprocessor provides rapid heating, the solid ceramic heaters distribute the heat evenly on the plates which ensures that any part of the hair in contact with the plates receives the same degree of heat. As a result there are no heat flat spots on the plate.
Nano-silver and Tourmaline plates
The incredible styling results are achieved by the nano-silver and tourmaline
plates which replace the conventional ceramic styling plates.
The nano-silver properties of the plate ensure the plate remains incredibly clean
and free from bacteria.
Nano-silver technology is used in various applications and healthcare products,
such as wound dressings, as it inhibits growth of bacteria and fungi.
Adding this quality to the plates ensures the hair remains clean and free from
any bacteria while promoting a clean surrounding.
Tourmaline is a gem stone which once ground up and infused into the styling plates,

• Saturn Styling Plates
The Saturn styling plates are longer than conventional styling irons with a length
of 4½ inches.
Greater hair coverage is achieved while maintaining the flexibility of a slim
plate styling iron as the width of the plates remain the same.
This results in shorter styling times.
Solarzz believe that having the ability to choose your operating temperature is particularly important because every hair type is different. Each Solarzz styling iron can adjust the heat using the appropriate function buttons. The temperature can be adjusted in 10°C increments/decrements by pressing the relevant +/- function button on the remote. The exact temperature of the plates can be viewed on the LCD display whilst the plates heat up. The operating temperatures for the Solarzz Saturn are:
Solarzz Saturn: 80°C to 210°C
We recommend the following temperature settings for each particular type of
hair:
Fine hair: Between 140°C and 160°C
Medium hair: 180°C
Thick hair: 200°C
Very thick/afro-carribean hair: Between 210°C and 220°C
Whilst the above settings are recommendations based on hair type, each individual is different and it is important to assess the condition of the hair for any damage prior to styling especially if the hair is damaged/dry or has been coloured.
The Solarzz Saturn is designed to allow the user unique flexibility when it comes
to styling.
The lightweight design allows the user to achieve dramatic styles from flicks
to curls to effortlessly straight hair.
Your imagination is your limit when it comes to styling with the Solarzz Saturn.
Solarzz provides styling instructions with each Solarzz styling iron.

• Automatic Cut off feature
The microprocessor records the amount of time each styling iron has been operating.

HEATSMART™ technology
First generation high-power ceramic straighteners have all used ultra hot heaters
to provide performance – some up to 350° or more. These are then controlled down
to the desired 210°C. However, if the safety features fail, they could go rapidly
to their default temperature, and become potentially dangerous. Sakarra by Kodo
is made with a 230° heating element which cannot exceed this temperature under
any circumstance. Using HEATSMART™ technology it out-performs its first generation
competitors but, crucially, without the potential danger of excessive heat. Sakarra
by Kodo is the safest high-performance styler available today.
Auto-shutdown SLEEP mode
For safety is it vital that your Sakarra by Kodo styler is NEVER left unattended
switched on or even plugged in. Always unplug your styler when not using it –
you wouldn’t leave your iron plugged in on the ironing board! This is NOT a ‘small
print’ message – it’s really important. REALLY. That having been said, if Sakarra
by Kodo is left unused for 10 minutes, it will go into ‘SLEEP MODE’ to save electricity
(and hopefully the planet). This is an energy saving feature, NOT a safety one.
Your styler is only asleep and can be woken up with the slightest movement. Then
it will return to operating temperature in seconds. Please remember – although
the light is off, the styler is only asleep. Always unplug it if you’re not going
to use it.
Safety
Sakarra by Kodo is made from only the highest quality components. Please remember
that even the best technology can occasionally go wrong. HEATSMART™ means that
should the electronics fail, the styler will go to 230°C. It cannot get any hotter.
So there is no danger of melted plates or ruined hair. No other styler or straightener

More safety
As we have said, even with the best components, things sometimes go wrong. That
is why you should always unplug your styler when not in use. It may be a chance
in a million that it could switch itself on, but please don’t let SLEEP mode lull

is fragile and tends to chip. It also heats up slowly and unevenly. Sakarra by
